Finnish Lesson One

Our first Finnish lesson was helpful in reassuring us that we do know some Finnish words. Many words just have an extra “i” in them or a “k” instead of a “c”. Some Finnish words are the same as an English word, like “diesel”, or sound the same, for example “coffee” sounds like the Finish word “kahvi”.

The exchange students are excited for our Finnish lessons. I will try to share the  new words we learn on this blog frequently.

From left to right and top to bottom: car, bus, diesel, cup of coffee, cream and banana.
